Western Atlantic Tropical Summary - WATS UP on August 2, 2005

<img src="http://www.diamondheadweather.com/wats20050802.jpg">

There are several features in the Western Atlantic today.

First, the three upper level lows north of 20 degrees continue spinning
around. None of these will develop into tropical systems.

Three weak tropical waves are moving westward across the Caribbean,
with no development expected.

The dry air with Saharan dust is limiting development east of 60 degrees.

I do not expect tropical development in the western Atlantic in the
next two to three days.
