Warm SST's and ULL or Upper highs (ridges)

do any of the pro mets. have any data on whether or not SST's have any direct correlation with the upper atmosphere?

yeah they do.....from what i understand, i may be wrong, but, in the summer over water warm SST help create and maintain High pressure cells....don't quote me but, fairly confident

Thanks Deltadog I know Bermuda high and the Atlantic ridge seem to build with warmer SST's and the TUTT tends to wan this time of year but I wasn't sure if there was a direct correlation.

Warmer SSTs can't be good for Florida/GOM/East Coast with the big ridge.
