do any of the pro mets. have any data on whether or not SST's have any direct correlation with the upper atmosphere?

Thanks Deltadog I know Bermuda high and the Atlantic ridge seem to build with warmer SST's and the TUTT tends to wan this time of year but I wasn't sure if there was a direct correlation.
