18z GFS closes off TD10 Remnants in the FL Straits..........

#1 Postby Dean4Storms » Fri Aug 19, 2005 6:36 pm

as it drifts it westward, but then opens the low once again as it appears to get absorbed by CONUS trough that makes it to Gulf coast first of next week.

Also, the GFS is developing the wave coming off Africa and deepens it as it heads generally toward the northern islands as a TC.

Looks like a more active week upcoming!

yeah, I haven't seen the 18Z GFS but the best model of the season so far, NOGAPs, closes off a low in the western Bahamas and runs it up the SE coast of FL.

Thanks for that.

Does anyone else see the rotation on WSR-88D out of PR?

Definitely a rotation to the N-NE but its probably the mid-level circulation apparent on the VIS SAT.
