Please read the GUTS IN product for information regarding TS Katrina
Are we finally seeing signs of the wet MJO? A retreat of the SAL?
The areas of dry air in the frame have reduced in size. More moisture is
available, so perhaps conditions will become more favorable for
development of tropical waves in the next week or so.
Right now, we have a wave in the central Caribbean that is firing up
some convection, however, I do not expect development in the next 24-48 hours.
An area of disturbed weather to the southeast of TS Katrina shows no
signs of organization.
The tropical wave near 45W is associated with Invest 97L, and I will cover
that in more detail in the EATS OUT product.
