Camille survivors?
Just to get an idea ---can anyone who lived through Camille tell me what type of damage you had 10 or 20 miles inland. I know the coast was leveled, but what about further inland ---- most of the houses were still standing weren't they (please say yes). Were there many deaths over 10 miles inland?

I was there, but very young. Don't remember much. I do remember someone posting a link to a report about the aircraft in Camille reporting a very low pressure, which the NHC didn't believe and then discounted. They story goes that the plane then had an emergency as it penetrated the eyewall and all othe rflights were cancelled. Anyone know where that story/link is?
