Page Cannot Be Displayed While Posting

#1 Postby ConvergenceZone » Sun Aug 28, 2005 2:43 pm

Just as a heads up for those who do not know. When you make a post, you are probably getting alot of "page cannot be displayed" errors after pressing the "submit" button. I've discovered that even after getting the page cannot be display, the topic is still posting. I'm seeing alot of duplicate posts on here because people are assuming that the "page cannot be displayed" means that their reply didn't take, don't worry, it probably did :). I've done it a few times myself, before I realized.

Kudos to storm2k.org for keeping this board up in what must be MASSIVE amounts of traffics. Even when it's went down, it's only been down for a few minutes at one time, not too sure how ya can keep it up, but thanx :)

Great post, too bad nobody is reading it! Yes, click the back button and copy the post you were making into your clipboard, then check the topic to see if it posted. If not, then re-post and paste your post from the clipboard.

I get it to say "Bad connection to server" or something similar to that, but it does always post if you go back twice (to view the topic) and hit refresh. And yes, it is rather impressive that they can keep this board up with more traffic than it has ever had on it.
