The other eyewall building in is absolutely massive! New Orleans may be in the eye afterall. It has to be 100 miles in diameter?

better hope that inner eyewall doesn't completely collapse and we see a shrinking of that outer eyewall

What I'm afraid may happen is the storm will become very unstable when it hits land and the 910MB of energy has to go somewhere.

We may not see much extreme winds (Cat 4/5) but the wind field of Cat 3 could be absoluely insane. Easily 50 to 100 miles out if this storm really comes unglued.

looks like the northern inner eyewall is just about to come onshore in southern Louisiana. Any reports from that area

Yes, but the outer bands are merging into one giant yellow/red blob from Houma to Hattiesburg.

Red dot in eyewall, must be reforming fast. MSNBC has reporter in Houma, if you look at radar you can see giant yellow wall getting ready to hit Houma, you can see visual and head audible evidence on TV now that it's coming, and quick.

Also looks like one of those 5/6 spoke thingys (I think that's the technical term) is trying to form in the eye, I saw the beginnings of about 3 spokes emerging from the eyewall into the eye in the last couple of frames.
