where Ophelia is right now. She sure looks a lot closer to the east coast of Florida than a few hours ago:

I just heard on the weather channel that is a burst of convection which could indicate more strengthening.

Hey Dixie. Even though the cloud shield is spreading
westward the actual center seems to be in just about
the same spot it has been most of the afternoon. Pretty
much stationary.

if you go to the satellite images you can see if it jsut about stationary (in my opinion)

do a 12 loop and click on the approximate center

Same position as it was this morning... give or take a few(less than 10) miles.

The convection has expanded which is what your seeing.
