All yo have to do is look at MLB NEXRAD and you will see that it still remains about 80 miles east of Cape Canaveral. But convection in many areas is blossoming
It will experience light southerly shear for about 2-3 days so the NE quadrant will explode from time-to-time. Also as linkweather mentioned, the Melbourne NWS radar clearly shows the center wobbling E now at about 2-3 mph so if anything it is getting farther from land.
