This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I was kind of surprised last night when my wife and I went to one of our Walmarts in Houma, La. It was a madhouse. There is no water, no can goods, no chips, no diapers, and the produce section looked like a tornado went through it. The lines at the checkouts were 10-15 people long. This didn't happen a few days prior to Katrina. I think now that people realize what a Cat 4 can do, minor panic is beginning to set in.

I'm heading to the stores for last minute stuff this afternoon after work. Probably won't have much on the shelves. I've got my water and batteries though. I hope I won't have to use any of these supplies.
