Upper-Level Winds!!

#1 Postby gk1 » Mon Sep 19, 2005 8:03 am

Everyone is wondering why such a drastic turn north with computer models and this is what I see. If you look at the cloud movement in the GOM, you will see that the clouds are moving from the Florida Panhandle Southwestward into to GOM. Then, turn from to the SE to the NNW towards SW LA/Upper level coast. This is a dramatic change from this weekend!!! I used this stategy for Katrina and it worked out well. Only difference is that the SE to NW flow went over SE LA. Rita looks like she will move much more westward. This could put parts of the LA. coast on the NE side of the storm. Still early and plenty can and will change!!!
