11:00 am advisory has it as ground zero. hope that doesn't verify. if it is sub 940 with that track in port of houston, we're looking at a recession.

Who thinks Rita will go ashore much further east? I think so and the NHC just adjusted their track so that the shift won't be so dramatic at once. Please chime in......

i think anything past 3 days out is subject to large margins of error. It is very possible that the track will continue to shift east.

I agree. Wouldn't be surprised is Lake Charles ends up getting it.

We were already headed for a recession before Katrina.

Well, I guess I will be eating some crow if this thing hits the upper tx coast. I honestly did not think it would curve this way, its still several days out, so we will just wait and see......If it does strike here is there anyone willing to BBQ my crow, as I will be without power and wont have a way to cook it.

Cook it on the hot concrete after the Storm leaves.

I am hoping this does not strike the Upper TX Coast. This could be a very powerful CAT4 in the NW GOM. by weeks end.
