Not sure if this should be under winter weather or here, but regarding N'oreasters, when are they considered to start, after hurricane season?

I guess a Nor'easter could happen this time of year, but usually the jet stream is too far north.

It usually happens in the Late Fall/Winter when the steering currents favor a low going up the East Coast.
