need info about houston area

#1 Postby iluvseashore » Tue Sep 20, 2005 9:27 pm

Have family in Houston and can't get them by phone and am trying to find out what county they are in. Their zip code is 77059. Any info greatly appreciated. I am very concerned about them looking at the map they look to be fairly close to Galvaston Bay.

If im correct thats webster or league city. If they are near the water, they should leave. Risk your life? Or spend a couple hours in traffic and spend $ on gas? Easy descion if you ask me

Yes, I agree. I'm hoping that's why I can't get them to answer the phone. But what concerns me is my cousin is an engineer for Exxon and will have to stay for some reason.

That zip is the area in between NASA and Ellington Field. It does lie in the evacuation zone for a category 4 hurricane. Your family would be wise to evacuate or seek shelter in a safer area of town.

It is in Harris County, barely north of the Galveston County line.
