Not to mention, 45 North is possibly backed up from Dallas to Houston. The news is reporting HWY deaths from people waiting in the heat. :cry:

KHOU is reporting 1 fatality in the bus fire.

Local news said 45 elderly were on bus.,apprx. half known to have gotten off :( Making it worse,there were oxygen tanks on the bus

AP: Dallas TV station WFAA reports 20 people killed when bus loaded with Hurricane Rita evacuees erupted in flames south of Dallas.

Newest count-24 dead. Bus carrying elderly from evacuating

nursing home many with oxygen. Not known if that was the cause of the explosion. Here is the link from Dallas WFAA:

I've heard possibly 24 left on the bus... which since it's burned to the metal frame, isn't good.

ME is reporting 24 Dead, traffic is being routed onto 287N off 45 in Ennis.
45 expected to be closed thru mid day...not good!!
