There's not much damaged, certainly not even close to as bad as Rita or Katrina. But I haven't seen it all.

I have to agree that those pictures don't look bad at all. Looks like a beautiful day down there.
Maybe these are pre-Wilma because it doesn't look like this now.

While I agree the coastal damage won't approach the damage of Katrina or Rita that doesn't begin to explain the extent of effects to south Florida. Saying "There's not much damaged..." is the understatement of the season.
Most of south Florida remains without power and the restoration is expected to take close to a month due to the extensive damage to electric transmission facilities. Sitting here tonight struggling with the challenges to my own business, I can't even imagine the total impacts from this storm hitting this major metropolitan area. That doesn't even touch the agricultural impacts from lost crops at a critical time. This storm will be remembered here for a long time.

Well, I just finished looking and there was some severe damage to areas like Belle Glade and Chokoloskee.
But there is nothing in Marco Island or Naples, I'm thinking these are old images, as Doc Seminole said. I've never seen the damage in S. Florida firsthand so probably the damage is much worse there.
Sorry if I offended anybody. Poor choice of words from me.

Narrated Aerial tour over southeast florida, where most of the damage was. Click play arrow all the way on the bottom to start it.

Yeah, because I read that 30% of homes on Marco Island sustained damage.
Fortunately, Marco Island received only an 8 ft storm surge and not the 17 ft surge they feared.
