Forecast is farther north, with a landfall in northeastern Nicaragua. Intensity is steady but not too quick over the next 36 to 48 hours over water. After moving over land, the farther south this goes, the better chance it has of moving into the Pacific. South = stronger ridge, which may mean faster motion, but it would definitely stay out of higher terrain farther north.
