Beta question

#1 Postby Cookiely » Sun Oct 30, 2005 5:55 am

After reading the 4am discussion, I'm confused. How can Beta go into the Pacific and possibly regenerate, and also come into the GOM and form a winter type storm scenario?

The actual circulation will go into the Pacific. The deep moisture from it will be drawn northward.

Thanks linkerweather. If the deep moisture is drawn northward from the circulation then the odds of regeneration aren't very good is it?

if you are talking about regen in the Gulf then NO....
the Pacific....possibly...but the LLC has to survive the trek across Central America.
