The 5:30 PM EDT TPC tropical weather outlook says otherwise but sure it will be at 11:00 PM TD however not now.

It went back to an "INVEST". Indeed sounds like it will be a Tropical Depression soon.

Ok, Crap ... which is it??? I just did an addendum to update Newly Formed Tropical Depression #3 ... and now it may NOT be now ...

Maybe they read my tropical weather outlook and found the circulation over land?

I suppose you can call those of us interested in meteorology getting excited to quickly. But the "INVEST" went to a "NONAME" which is indicative of a Tropical Depression.

The confusion now is coming from the two different websites ...

NRL back to an "Invest"
http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tc_pages/tc_home.html
Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanograph Page has it as "Noname"
http://www.fnmoc.navy.mil/PUBLIC/

(Scroll down and click TC Position and Intensity on the left side menu in the section Tropical Applications)

 They knew we were watching. Grr!

The NHC outlook seems so nonchalant about any development in the near term. Hmm....

The 5:50 tropical up-date on TWC acted like, by the way there is an area of disturbed weather we are watching. The way Paul was acting it was like it could have slippped his mind to even talk about it. Go figure

He did that earlier today as well. Cheryl Lemke said that the area isn't favorable but it could be favorable and if it was favorable we would watch it. Then Lisa Moser said that it is an area of concern and that we should continue to monitor it because it could develop. Eek.

Well stormsfury I guess that we will have to wait until tommorow as recon goes to the area and then SSD classifies it with T numbers.
