2005 Atlantic Tropical Cyclone Reports Discussion Thread

#1 Postby cycloneye » Mon Jan 23, 2006 8:12 am

Answering some petitions from members that want a new thread to discuss the reports of the 2005 atlantic season here it is now. :)

Here you can talk all you want about Katrina,Wilma,Rita,Cindy,Vince,...........etc.

The reports will continue to be posted at the original reports thread and you can find which new report is posted at the first page of that thread.

Hi, isn't it better to make a new thread only for the reports and to discuss them in the old thread? ;-)

I think that Emily's report may be one of the next reports to be posted.

Well it's late already to make the change you are suggesting. But I promise that when the 2006 Atlantic Cyclone Reports thread is posted it will be separated from the discussion thread about the reports from the start. :)

Cmmon guys this thread is to discuss extensivly about the Atlantic Reports but so far no real discussions haved been posted. My guess is that the Katrina and Wilma discussions are already old and all are waiting for other important reports such as Cindy,Emily,Rita,Stan Vince. :)

Ophelia's report is now up, and after seeing the damage section, there is no way that name gets retired. The $1.6 billion figure was not correct, damage was only $70 million. I never totally believed the high damage figure to begin with.

Agreed, Opehlia is ruled out for retirement. (based solely upon this figure, IMO)

I say Maria. Nate and Ophelia were up a day apart, and both reports had sme mention of Maria. Why not guess Maria?

Yeah, I've been really busy with college (never too old for some education) and work. Opheila is now posted at the above link.
