Watching the convection in the western Gulf of Mexico

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Tue Jul 01, 2003 7:04 pm

Tropical development is possible from this area of convection in the western Gulf of Mexico.

This area of convection has developed in the wake of Tropical Storm Bill. Tropical cyclones have developed in the wake of tropical systems over the years. The pressure hasn't fallen much this afternoon across this portion of the Gulf of Mexico.

As of now this moisture is expected to move toward the Texas coast.

Possible, but not probable.

Right, ncstorm... this area is along a trough axis. Sorry for not adding that to my above post. :)

HD, that's true... possible, but not probable. An area to watch nonetheless. :)
