I'm sorry my computer didn't allow me to add any more options.

Can this poll be locked, then? I'll make the same poll with the "all of them" option. Is that OK with everyone and Luis? Thanks!

Wilma, I checked it late in the evening and then early in the afternoon the following day to find out it had dropped 98hPa in that period. I was in shock for about 15 minutes, lol.

When Wilma Became a cat-5 like that even thoughit wasn't even forecasted to become a cat-4 at that time I almost screamed,"It's hell all over again!"

Dennis, because it's so rare to see an early major hurricane like he was. I remember watching the coverage of his landfall and thinking, "Wait a minute, aren't we supposed to be watching stuff like this in September? It's only July!" It was pretty weird.

Considering that Katrina hatched from the remnants of the long-term and on-again/off-again TD 10 - at least arguably....

Some may remember this MONSTER 85-page thread:
http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=70542&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=td10&start=0

And the associated 17-page thread on Invest 99L (and supposed TD-12):
http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=71087&start=0

...then, Katrina reached minimal hurricane status just before coming onshore in SE FL, maintained herself across the peninsula, became a CAT 5 in the central GOM, and slammed my home and so many others on the MS coast with unprecedented surge, there is no doubt that the easy answer for me - and countless others around these parts - is Katrina.

You can bet I was S-U-R-P-R-I-S-E-D when the water started coming in.  In fact, surprise is quite easily an understatement. As a matter of fact, I can't really think of a word or phrase that would provide an apt description.

To this day, I am STILL in absolute amazement of the events I experienced on August 29, and suppose I will continue to be well into the future.....

I say Wilma. She didn't surprised me becoming a cat-5 cane, but I expected a central pressure around 910 to 900 mb, not a new record.
