Disturbed Wx. Southwest of Timor; Poss. Trop. Low Forming?

There is a large area of disturbed weather southwest of Timor. It looks like it may be trying to form a tropical low. Let's wait and see if it may develop or not!

Not sure about SW of Timor but the BoM have mentioned a low further east for the last couple of days.

TROPICAL CYCLONE OUTLOOK
FOR THE AREA BETWEEN LONGITUDES 125 EAST - 142 EAST
Issued by the BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY, DARWIN
at 2:15 pm CST Thursday 30 March 2006

A tropical low, 1007 hPa, is situated in the Gulf of Papua near Cape York and is
expected to move west through the Torres Strait and into the southeastern
Arafura Sea in the next few days. However, the low is weak and is not expected
to develop into a Tropical Cyclone during the next three days.

Is that Glenda, boy has she changed her appearance. I'm not sure where Timor is could you be more specific?

I was just pointing out the only tropical low mentioned by the BoM was further east than Timor. The outlooks from Perth will be of interest in the morning then.

Latest Extended GFS for Australia has twin lows developing in a weeks time one off the WA Coast and 1 off the NT coast.

TROPICAL CYCLONE OUTLOOK FOR THE CENTRAL INDIAN OCEAN
Issued at 12:03pm WST on Friday the 31st of March 2006
For the area between LONGITUDES 90 - 110 EAST

A tropical low 1007hPa lies near 13S099E and is expected to move slowly
westwards over the next three days. The low is not expected to develop into a
tropical cyclone within the next three days.

There are no other significant tropical lows expected to affect the area within
the next three days.
