Not sure about SW of Timor but the BoM have mentioned a low further east for the last couple of days.

FOR THE AREA BETWEEN LONGITUDES 125 EAST - 142 EAST
Issued by the BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY, DARWIN
at 2:15 pm CST Thursday 30 March 2006
A tropical low, 1007 hPa, is situated in the Gulf of Papua near Cape York and is
expected to move west through the Torres Strait and into the southeastern
Arafura Sea in the next few days. However, the low is weak and is not expected
to develop into a Tropical Cyclone during the next three days.
