For us guys and gals that are "dial up" internet users it would be helpfull if sat. pictures aren't posted numerous times in one thread. The thread about the west pac. system has several sat. pics which just slow down the download time. What many do which saves time is post a link to a sat.pic which each person can view if they wish. Just my opinion

Yes I think we have already gone over this, but for some reason, people are ignoring it as well as quoting images which is another big no-no.

It's kind of stupid to post satellite pics and say "OMG look at this" when in several minutes that image will be replaced by a new one.

Unless you save the image and upload it yourself. Then you can just post the link to it.

Btw, Dave C, this was addressed in the Forum Format for 2006 announcement in the top of this forum. I'm guessing a lot of people haven't read that thread. Since we can't possibly read every post, drop a mod a PM when you see this being done repetively, and we can send the member a nice reminder.

For everyone, when a mod or admin posts an announcement or stickies a thread, unless it's clearly about something of no interest to you (a gathering you're not interested in, etc.), then each member really should read them since some of them contain important information that affects everyone here. The same goes for the Announcements forum...just check it occasionally.

I wish that people would do that instead. It makes it so much easier when going back to the threads if they saved and uploaded the images. It sure is not fun to see a post that says "Wow look at that eyewall" when the picture shows a blob of clouds.
