Claudette will be remembered as a system that has beaten all the odds as it has mantained against many obstacules that has encountered from the start.

First where she was as a strong wave east of the islands dry air was not in favor of it but she continued to organize despite that.

Then when she crosses into the eastern caribbean known as (HURRICANE GRAVEYARD) she intensifies into a tropical storm something that because of the interaction with southamerica is another odd thing for this system to develop into a storm there.

Then when it gets into the western caribbean it encounters the ULL and it has been sheared heavily in the past 2 days but despite that she is there hanging on.

And now the big question is where will she go from where it is at 5:24 PM time I am typing this.It looks like this system will make the forecasters crazy as they will figure out the next move from Claudette.Even the models are way too split so what those who live in the gulf coast is to monitor the progress of Claudette and be prepared.

What more can Claudette can do after all that has done before?

She sure is a pain in the butt...that's for sure. I'm sitting here with HURREVAC 1 (72 hours notice) staring me in the face to get planes out...trying to figure it out so as to give the aircraft the best forecast...and the stupid thing won't even keep a good LLC. Looks like it is trying to reform near 19.5 / 84.5...which throws the whole forecast endgame into confusion.

My stress level is climbing by the vortex message.

This year is re-writing the rules for tropical cyclone genisis and tracking so....it's ok!!! Glad I don't have your job!!! take care!! :wink:

Sort of reminds me of Kyle last year - a storm that never wanted to die! :lol:

Claudette certainly has faced some incredible challenges and has survived them all. She will be interesting to watch over the coming days.

Claudette has gotten through every obstacle, and I think she will continue to do so until she eventually hits the GOM and strengthens into a Hurricane.
