Does anyone recall a Fourth of July.......

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Hopefully no freak storm will pop up on the 4th of July.

July 4th is just like Jamaica, all Tropical Storms try to avoid them.

I guess even hurricanes have enough patriotism not to start anything on the 4th.

2004. No named storms until July 31. Not many threats in June/July, either. Just 2 years ago.

I do remember coming home last July 4th from watching fireworks. Logged onto the internet and saw this
ZCZC MIATCPAT4 ALL
TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM
BULLETIN
TROPICAL DEPRESSION FOUR ADVISORY NUMBER 1
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
11 PM EDT MON JUL 04 2005

...FOURTH TROPICAL DEPRESSION OF THE SEASON DEVELOPS OVER THE
SOUTHEASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA...

Little did we know then that less than a week later Dennis would be right over his with his own brand of fireworks.

I can recall watching the fireworks last year and thinking it is too nice outside and then Dennis comes around not too soon after the 4th. I know it was July.

Doc Joe I didn't see your post up above. I was thinking the same thing.

And I remember waking up from Cindy thinking man what is going on. We woke up some fierce sounding gust here in Alabama. Of course the wind here sounds horrible when it blows near our house.
