Does anybody fly into Easter Pacific Hurricanes?
I was just curious if there was an equivalent organization that flew into Eastern Pacific Hurricanes?

Yes, East Pacific is watched by NHC, which also watches the Atlantic.

To fly anything near Hawaii, the deployment base would be Hickam near Honolulu. Depending upon where any storm headed towards Mexico, I would suspect a deployment out of a Base in South Texas, southern Arizona (Davis-Montham), or SoCA. The key is longitude since most of Mexico and Central America are well SE of CA and even SE of AZ.

Yes, the NOAA AND the 53rd WRS flies EPAC systems... if AND only if they pose a threat to Hawaii, Mexico and CENTAM... CENPAC storms we fly out of Hickam, EPAC is out of Travis AFB, CA.
The USAFR (53rd WRS) has 10 aircraft.... and NOAA has 2 G4 Gulfstreams and 2 P3 Orion aircraft and yes there have been continuous fixes into the storms.... 2 53rd aircrafts or 1 NOAA/1 53rd.... is has happened before and will happen again if the situation arises. If a tasking does come up, we WILL make sure we have enough fliers around to support the mission... its wx mission (during storm season) first and foremost.
All I can say is that we are watching Cosme closely.

Travis, that's an odd choice since it's a full 10 degrees of longitude west of the southern tip of Baja.
