is it getting bigger over cuba ??

just saw the weather channel and the satellite image appears to be getting larger over cuba--what does anyone else see??

Bigtime prime example of this would most certainly have to be a little hurricane called Katrina.

Let's not confuse having a larger cloud cover with strengthing. Often systems spread out as the circulation weakens. Definitely not a time to let down your guard but I've seen no indications that's it's strengthening.

very true... it is over land and fighting the mountains... the circulation weakens and slows and the clouds expand and seem to be growing.... certainly not intensifing right now..

NO! ITs not getting bigger. One thing i have noticed the whole time with Ernie is that the BEST axis of convergence has been to the east.

No, I think the surface center becoming more displaced with MLC. The surface center is probably still moving NW over Cuba, while MLC try to stays further east offshore. It looks like the storm is expanding but it really being ripped appart by the mountains.
