This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

NHC Five Day Cone - Only Goes Out 2 1/2 Days?

Apologies if this was already covered off within another thread.

The 5 day cone ends just across the PA border, 8 AM Saturday morning....is this an indication of the point of losing tropical characteristics? Doesn't seem like it, I recall in the past, forecast tracks of other storms plotted north of the border into Canada.

Curious as this morning there was some disagreement between models for the north east track 4-5 days out.
