Flare-Up in the BOC

#1 Postby Bailey1777 » Wed Sep 20, 2006 7:29 am

Probably nothing but nice flare-up moving into the BOC. This is the first convection that I have seen move off of Mexico and hold together over the water in the past 5 days.

An area to watch now that the CV season is nearly over.

One local met mentioned it this morning and stated that we should keep an eye on this part of the western GOM. He didn't seem to think that it was too serious of a concern.

Probably not. But anything hanging around down there could help enhance the return flow moisture once this spell of incredibly nice weather shifts east with the high. We're supposed to have a brief return to the muggies and rain later into the weekend (ARRRGH!) before the next front comes through around Sun/Mon....bringing MORE great early fall weather during the work week (double ARRRGH!).

Certainly am enjoying this change in the weather. Keep the fronts coming and keep the tropcial systems away.
