What will we do when Helene is gone?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

What will we do when Helene is gone?

#1 Postby Blown Away » Thu Sep 21, 2006 5:48 pm

Once Helene is gone it looks like the Atlantic will be quiet for a while. I guess I'll have to goto the Pacific, there is just nothing like an active Atlantic. We might get lucky and get one more Cane, likely East/central Atlantic area. Maybe 2 wimpy TS from the Caribbean. IMO

I prefer to go to the WPAC.

1) The Super Season's starting.

2) Wet MJO is arriving in the WPAC.

3) Since it's an El Nino year, most storms are probably going to fish or hit Japan in a weakened state. But since most other storms in the WPAC have recurved that's what I'm going with.

4) The SSD now have floaters and satellites over there.

Pray that the 'Canes get their act together, pray the 'Fins get their act together...if that doesn't work, pray for the football season to be over?

No, seriously, I'm sure there will be another invest or storm soon enough. With my luck, it'll show up just in time for my cruise

I don't even know what to do when Helene was here as she was just a fish

I keep looking to make sure there are no threats to the US or islands
