September....4 Hurricanes

September has turned out to be a fairly normal month in terms of tropical activity. Four named systems, all hurricanes. Of note the last five systems to be named have become hurricanes. I think we will only see one or two more named systems this season. 2006 should go into the record books as just about normal in terms of named systems.....MGC

I agree, unless October can turn around. I was looking at Ir today over the northwestern pacific. In the subtropical jet is clearly el nino like right into California.

El Nino is a dirty word in California..they always get hammered..
