Disorganised shower activity (EPac/ATL near Cent. Am.)

#1 Postby Chacor » Mon Oct 30, 2006 5:40 am

From the 10:05 UTC TWDEP (East Pac TWD):

..TROPICAL WAVES...

TROPICAL WAVE ALONG 84W N OF 5N ACROSS WESTERN PANAMA IS MOVING
W 10 TO 15 KT. MOST OF THE CONVECTION IS EITHER OVER NICARAGUA
OR OFFSHORE OF N HONDURAS IN THE CARIBBEAN. ONLY ISOLATED
CONVECTION ON THE PACIFIC SIDE JUST W OF COSTA RICA AND
NICARAGUA. SOME CYCLONIC TURNING OFF THE HONDURAN CARIBBEAN SIDE
BUT MAY NOT BE AT THE SURFACE.

From the 5:30 EST TWOAT:

DISORGANIZED SHOWER ACTIVITY COVERS MUCH OF THE CENTRAL AND WESTERN
CARIBBEAN SEA AND ADJACENT LAND AREAS. TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION
IS NOT EXPECTED...ALTHOUGH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS ARE POSSIBLE
THROUGHOUT THE AREA.

Sort of a continuation of 93L + a tropical wave stretching into the EPac.

On a seperate note, that's quite some convection near the Bahamas!
