T.S. Danny loop and T.D #6 Model Maps

#1 Postby Stormsfury » Sat Jul 19, 2003 6:53 pm

Dependant on how Danny retains itself will directly determine if we'll be waving bye-bye or be talking about him for a long time ... likely with #6's development today, Danny will be forgotten about ...

Unfortunately, only the official NHC track shows on this map ... the tropical models are, however, within 100 miles of the official NHC track ... which bring T.D. #6 to hurricane status in 48 hours...

One of the bad things is that one of the global models has this possibility later in the period ... I can't post that graphically right now and at the same time, until more of a consensus of that scenario is given by other models, I didn't want to raise undue concern ...

I wouldn't write off Danny or any tropical system that has a possibility of or is actually looping, perhaps to a southerly to southwesterly motion in the Atlantic.

Until a system has no possible way to change direction once moving north, northeast or east, with no chances of moving west should it be written off.
