They say el nino will peak by January or Febuary.

This is the latest subsurface chart although it only has 3 and a bit days worth of December data on it

Slowly but surely the subsurface conditions are changing. I suppose it is reasonable to assume there will be no El Nino in place by June 1, 2007.

I've just uploaded an animation for the last two months from 9/10/2006 to 4/12/2006. Note that although the gap between images is usually three or four days there are a couple where the gap is seven days.

With the coup that occured in Fiji, now would probably be a bad time for a cyclone to hit.

During the 2002-2003 season, Fiji was struck by Cyclone Ami.

No extraordinary rain or cool nino winter so far here in south Florida. A bit of drought instead.

November was one of the driest on record. It followed a really wet October. Looks like we will see more rain this month..........
