Another newbie

Taking a cue from Rob, thought I better introduce myself as I barged into Storm2K during the Claudette Craze.

I'm a 41-year-old government relations officer, married, with two kiddos, living in Austin, Texas. Been a weather fanatic since kindergarten with my early memories being the family crowded around the NOAA weather radio during severe weather events while growing up in northeastern Ohio.

Of course, the advent of cable TV and The Weather Channel gave us all the opportunity to sit around the tube and watch weather, chucking the radio. Now with the Internet, I'm able to satisfy my geekdom to the worst possible extent!

Glad to have finally found a weather discussion board with folks from my part of the country. Look forward to getting to know everyone better. Regards!
