Good ole Google
Google may be the most useless search engine in the world. Yesterday, people were looking for info regarding TD 6. Where did Google direct them to, the NWHHC Archives for TD 2, lol.

The people were not specifically looking for a forecasting site, merely info on TD 6
Also, I think I know what happened. Something as simple as the google search bot didnt access the TD 6 info and focused on the words Tropical Depression as there is quite a bit of TD 2 info if one searches TD 6. This makes sense based upon the formula that google uses to compile its searches

Perhaps these people didn't know how to search? I went to Google, typed in Tropical Depression 6 and all the top hits were correct - TD 6 info. Hits lower down were from another TD 6 in 1995. As a matter of fact, I couldn't get Google NOT to find the proper TD 6 in the top links. Try it yourselves.

Also, if it's a relatively generic term like TD or Tropical Depression, the most hit sites will come up first. With Google, you have to use the " " qualifiers if you want to find consecutive text.
On the other hand, if you do a GIS (Google Image Search), it comes in handy for a quick page of T&A (that's Tropical and Atlantic
).
