Problem with my computer

#1 Postby boca » Mon Mar 26, 2007 9:37 am

Since last Wednesday I haven't been able to access Storm2k from my computer. I called Adelphia which is now Comcast and their saying its on their servers but I can access all other websites except this one. I'm getting an error message saying can not find server DNS error.
Very weird, I cleared out my cookies and deleted files. I'm at the library now thats why I'm able to get on now. Please any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a DNS issue. One of the admins could get you the direct IP address of S2K. Try that and see if you get in ok. These problems usually clear up when your Internet provider updates its DNS server listings.

Try this address boca
http://75.126.149.247
That is the IP for S2K, if you can get on that way then its on your end and its an issue with your provider. I had the same problem a few months ago and so did a few others here that had my same provider. I could access every other site but this one. It took my provider about 3 days to fix, they said it was one of their servers. Good luck, hope that IP helps. :)

It was a DNS issue I called Comcast and the tech wasn't surprised at all and I'm back now like nothing ever happened. Thank you for the informative replies as always.

I had the same issue over the past three days when I tried to upload the site using Internet Explorer (latest version) via my cable router (formerly Adelphia prior to the transfer to Comcast today). The DNS issue was apparently fixed and I'm having no more problems today.
