Good evening all. Now that I have some free time before summer semester starts I wanted to take a little bit to show yall what I am thinking as far as the hurricane season going. Now, this is my early season ideas, but I think it pretty much shows what I feel like is going to happen.
I feel like the mean ridge position should be in a spot where we might have to worry about landfalls over the central and eastern gom and most if not all of florida. I have seen signs this spring that the ridge wants to park itself there for a prolong time. Now, we should have a neutral to very weak la nina conditions and in fact this tends to be a higher than normal pattern for landfalls. Obviously I can't tell where and when a tropical system will make landfall or not, but I do think the probabilities are higher than normal. I also believe that the SE is in for a dry and warm to hot summer if yall don't get much rain from now to summer. For your sake I hope you do because I have been through a drought ridden hot summer in texas and it is NOT fun. Anyway, comments always welcomed.
