Very Near Seasonal Change Along Northern Gulf Coast

#1 Postby Berwick Bay » Sat May 12, 2007 10:20 pm

[b]Temps have been in the upper 80's, if not higher. Humidity levels have been climbing. Along northern Gulf Coast spring is relatively short. Very near the end of the spring season now. Late May brings the onset of summer and the beginning of hurricane season. Talk of one last front coming through, sounds about right. But probably more of a dry air band than any real temp change. Another week or 10 days and the season will be upon us. God Bless.

The past couple of days we have had late afternoon summer type thunderstorms so I guess the transition is taking place. Here is to another season with no major landfalls!!

Remember their is still one more front scheduled to come through the gulf coast at mid-week. I heard from a local met that actual temps will be cooler by the weekend by several degrees. So it may indeed feel like one more touch of spring. Enjoy it while you can. I think this season is rarin' to go.
