Possible N.E Coast Storm

#1 Postby Meso » Tue May 15, 2007 4:32 am

I know there is a thread on the low in the Caribbean..But almost all models are predicting it to only really deepen once it's north of Cuba,so I thought should probably start a new thread showing the models which are showing this scenario.

UKMET : 108 hours - http://moe.met.fsu.edu/tcgengifs/ukm/20 ... /slp18.png
CMC : 108 Hours - http://moe.met.fsu.edu/tcgengifs/cmc/20 ... /slp18.png
NOGAPS : 108 Hours - http://moe.met.fsu.edu/tcgengifs/nogaps ... /slp18.png
GFS : 108 Hours - http://moe.met.fsu.edu/tcgengifs/gfs/20 ... /slp18.png (It's the storm making landfall, that other closed low to the south is ANOTHER one)

So pretty much all the models are predicting something of similar nature!

Nice Nor'easter you got there. Really once it gets north of 23 north this year it will be cold core any ways. I would be more interested in the second low the gfs forms near 23-25 north/75 west.

Most of the models are actually now showing different and bigger storm developing off the east coast which may abosorb the low in the Carribean or kick it out to sea.

One of our local meteorologists says this storm cuold be very similar
to the Patriot's day storm we had here in new england.
It could be a fun week-end.
