Florida/Georgia on IR Floater

Why, I can't imagine, since nothing is going in either state. Maybe an error?

The fire maybe. It is labled Florida/Georgia hial2.

I'm in Tallahassee, and the wind has been steady coming out of the east all day with gusts up to 35mph. Could that mean anything?

They have it focused there to follow the fires and the smoke in that area.

Good call, I was about to post the same. It helps local weather offices know whether or not to issue smoke advisories or air stagnation advisories based on drift of smoke field.

It is easy to see where the smoke is moving.It's moving westward towards Alabama,Louisiana,Arkansas and the pannhandle of Florida.
