Red Sun

#1 Postby Berwick Bay » Sun Jun 10, 2007 3:04 am

Red Sun

A red sun descends from the heavens.
Received by western waters of Cancer
She settles slowly into the earth,
Into form.
A sacred moment.
From Mayan Pyramids
Priests offer sacrifices of praise
For her presence.
Answered prayers:
Like Simeon, we can rest now,
Having seen the goddess.
Chantal,
Now in the Earth’s Womb.

A new sun lifts from the east
But Chantal is not there.
A mighty vortex along Cancer
Announces her birth
In the West.
With that breaking of the fast
She is seen.
An eye opens
Her heart now revealed.
A Red Heart of Fire and also of Peace.
The elements of air and water in turmoil
Around that holy Heart of Fire.

Gazing into that Heart
Kindred spirits burning,
In coastal waters waiting,
Three sisters in spirit
Welcoming Chantal.
Selena and Janis and Charmaine
Flying very near the Sun.
Chantal moves
And is moved by them.
A virgin betrothed,
Leo’s bride,
Chantal brings the air and water
And also the fire.

And now
At Solstice Eve
She stands mightily,
One foot in the sea
And one upon that coastal marsh.
She takes an oath;
Her fiery Heart
Will cleanse the Earth!
And mighty men hide themselves
And are afraid,
Unable to look into that eye,
Into that Heart.
But I looked
And saw there was no more dry land!
Chantal
Remember the rainbow,
Remember your promise.
And the waters finally receded,
Revealing
A New World.
For the old one had passed away.
A gift from Chantal.

We wept and embraced
Our brothers and sisters.
Thankful for them,
Thankful for our coast.
And a new spirit was abroad
In that land.
Selena, Janis, and Charmaine
After four hundred years,
Now joining hands.

Chantal,
Of Noble Heart,
A Heavenly Being,
Hear our prayer.
And have mercy on us.

Lucky me, Berwick, to be able to read this as soon as you posted. Some of your poems are somewhat of an enigma to me, but beautiful indeed. I cannot wait to see if your prediction pans out.

I easily see a prediction here. Where does fire come from in a TC? hmmm....energy? You should really publish these to the public.

I am another that enjoys your poems. Your words have rekindled an interest in poetry that has been dormant too long. Selena, Janis and Charmaine.... Very interesting!!!

BB, you've got me waiting on your next poem. LOL Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us. It almost sounds as though a magic act is being observed in this one; as we watch the east this will develop in the west. I'm still puzzled about the "400 year" phrase?

Sorry BB but I have to ask this question. By using Janis and Selena in your poem, are you suggesting that Chantal will hit around their birth towns of Port Arthur and Lake Jackson? Just curious!
By the way, the poetry is great.

I am very honored by your questions Canetracker and Jagno. Perhaps this will help. Selena, Janis, and Charmaine were mentioned first in my poem "Child of the Solstice". And now I have brought them back again. One of our good posters from Luling, La. latched on these three and posted a strong response in the "Child of the Solstice" thread. As for the "four hundred years" mentioned in "Red Sun", visualize these three singers, and think of the context of this poem, Chantal cleansing and renewing.

Very good poetry B.B. Keep it up. If you are refering to Charmaine Neville, then New Orleans is somehow involved in this.

BB and PearlRiver, I missed the Charmaine and misread it for Chantal. So, my guess is now LA/TX.

There's a lot symbolism throughout the poem concerning spiritual origins and earthly origins(location),path, intensity, a timeframe for landfall, location for landfall, effects of the storm, and the full meaning of the "three sisters". I'll leave it at that for now. "Red Sun" has spoken for herself.

Purple Rain

#15 Postby coleman525 » Sun Jun 10, 2007 1:08 pm

I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted one time to see you laughing
I only wanted to see you laughing in the purple rain

Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only wanted to see you bathing in the purple rain

I never wanted to be your weekend lover
I only wanted to be some kind of friend, hey
Baby, I could never steal you from another
It's such a shame our friendship had to end

Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only wanted to see you underneath the purple rain

Honey, I know, I know, I know times are changin’
It's time we all reach out 4 something new, that means you to
you say you want a leader, but you can't seem to make up your mind
I think you better close it and let me guide you to the purple rain

Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
If you know what I'm singin’ about up here, come on raise your hand
Purple rain, purple rain
I only want to see you, only want to see you in the purple rain

No offense, but I dont see a forecast other than purple rain in that poem, coleman525. Maybe we should have a poetry thread in OT.

:?: So... a red sun means a hurricane is going to hit where?? when?? why?? (boy, do I ever feel stupid!!)

Wow! Is this the Talkin' Tropics forum of S2K, renowned for serious amateur discussions and logical evidential debate of tropical weather potential and actual threats? The one those of us at risk of life, limb and property by hurricanes depended upon as the only place to quickly get helpful, timely information and well-thought discussions of upcoming development? (The Analysis forum is great, but not always timely.)

Is this the same forum where established members themselves successfully 'trained' the newbies in what was, and what was not, acceptable behavior/content, instead of a place where over-sensitive attention deficits, center-of-attention junkies, and blatant trolls race, crying, to the hugely overworked admins and moderators, like kindergardeners, to complain someone isn't 'playing nice', expecting to have the very latest slant of 'political correctness' (translation: oversensitivity, elevation of a minority to the detriment of the majority) quickly applied?

 I feel like mourning, like something truly unique and wonderful is lost. Or, maybe I just woke up in a parallel universe... TWC perhaps?

I think most people do not like BB's forecasts because they are different. All he is doing is putting a forecast out in a poem format.

Actually that isn't the case. What happened is some people asked questions and started making statements about the forecast...things they disagreed with...and that was construed as an attack...which it wasn't. As you well know...if you are going to put a forecast out there...expect people on this board to ask questions and debate it. IF...all of the sudden...that is considered an attack and people get bent out of shape...then what BV said has come to pass...it is the end for this board as we know it.

This board...and this particular room has always been the place for serious debate. Sometimes it gets heated...but as long as people stayed on the facts...I don't think anyone ever had a problem. It is always when people start speculating and then don't like the critiques that this problems arise. And...if you play the victim card...that wil start the abuse...that's a fact. Its like blood in the shark pool.

I think this subject is pretty well hashed-out already. We had sort of relaxed the rules while it was quiet, but clearly that policy has about reached its limit.

Any future poems will be posted in Off Topic.
