Not yet. We will make an announcement beforehand to let you all know what day we will move to the new server. This was a problem with the current server.

I keep getting DNS Lookup error periodically at home, even if I do a ipconfig /flushdns.

As part of the site move we will be switching DNS providers as well so hopefully these intermittent errors will be a thing of the past. Hang in there.

If S2K is down

#8 Postby rjgator » Tue Jun 12, 2007 10:26 am

Does anyone know a site we can all go to just in case there was ever a problem with S2K in the peak of the season? I feel lost without it.

It's a good idea to bookmark the chatroom link. http://www.stormdancing.net/network/jav ... torm2k.htm

That would be scary. I may have to start to listen to Phil Ferro on WSVN 7 since his predecessor Bill Kamal is still in prison for being a pedophile. :D

I mean like another Forum or chat room. I go to Teamspeak but sometimes it is down concurrently with S2K. I know there are a lot of them, but I was wondering where the usual people from here would go.

Their are several good forums on the internet but I don't know if I would be breaking the rules by listing them to you.

Chacor posted the chatroom link above. I'd bookmark it... a lot of people use the chatroom. Also, if you have mIRC (or don't mind getting it), here's the info to chat with that:
irc.stormdancing.net
port 6667
/join #storm2k

Here's the recently created Storm2k myspace, where we also have the chat info. We've used it to contact members during the outages as well.

http://www.myspace.com/storm2kweather

You might want to bookmark that as well.

As some here already know, it was announced several weeks ago that TWC's board is being discontinued (if it already hasn't been) - it was schedule to be discontinued in the past one or two weeks, if I'm not mistaken...
