NW Carib- Across Yucatan--Extension of Trough

#1 Postby Berwick Bay » Fri Jun 15, 2007 10:11 am

Watching loops, looking for possible extension of trough in NW Carib to Yucatan Penninsula. Perhaps some lifting of the trough and extension may bring storms along N Yucatan Coast and into Southern Gulf.

Well sure alright, but let's consider the speed it would be moving and the heavy wind shear it would inevitably run into.

Doesn't this seem like a really BAD concept? I know you want your forecast to come true Berwick Bay, but the best possible area of tropical development right now is the NW Caribbean with moist air and drastically decreasing wind shear.

(Also no offense Berwick, but this post really belongs in the 94L topic even though I know it really is a singular analysis)
