I'm sure there were tropical storm force sustained winds
offshore or right along the coast
as the center squall came through...
nevertheless...Barry was a sheared
hybrid...

Also the damage seems to support a tropical storm...
The damage to trees in Hillsborough county
seems like it was done by a 40-45 mph
sustained wind tropical storm...

IMO the highest sustained winds missed the
recording stations, as is often the case during
tropical cyclone landfalls.
