Next Storm Formation Contest
When the next storm will form?
Now that we have surpassed the 5-7 day time limit, from Berwick Bays thread. Lets see who can guess when, and where the next storm will form. You can choose any three day period (Continuous 72 Hour Period) until the end of hurricane season. You have to pick specific coordinates; latitude and longitude, and you have a 100 Nautical Mile Error Radius. You can even choose, there will not be another storm... If you get it right you get bragging rights or something, we'll figure that out (any suggestions?). I'll start off:
southfloridawx:
I'm sticking with SE Bahamas/Turks and Caicos.
20.59N 71.40W
June 26th - June 28th

Great. I'm in. I'll be at Pensacola Beach next week, taking a little down time, so no pick as of yet. But upon returning, I'll start mulling things over. And as you know, this sort of thing is really serious for me. Can't wait to formulate a new "forecast".

Re: Next Storm Formation Contest
July 27th - July 29th. I also predict that this storm will become our first hurricane and will persist into early August before possibly making landfall or (if we're lucky) turning out to sea.
This storm should also mark the beginning to a big upswing in activity lasting throughout August, September and October. I am guessing that it will be very similar to the major rise in activity that we saw during Aug/Sept 2004.
