just wondering...
Am I the only one who is still having problems with the topics where it automatically jumps to the bottom of the page? If there's anything I can do to stop it from doing that, please inform me...thanks

No you're not. I have that problem, too. I thought it might be that I replied to a topic, but you saying you're having a problem implies that there is some problem with the software that keeps jumping us to the end.

What is occuring is that those who have IE7 are having the problem. Those who have firefox dont.We are trying to fix this. But in the meantime,if you have IE7,you can change to firefox and will not have that issue.

I've noticed it only happens when you're logging into the site. Doesn't happen when you're logged out.

Yes. That's because the problem has to do with how IE renders the quick-reply box. If you're not logged in, you don't get the reply box, thus no problem.

Here's one way I'm getting around it though it doesn't help you get to the most recent post you haven't read. If you hold your left mouse button over the box in the scroll bar when you load the page, after it drops to the bottom, it will return to the top immediately.
Take it for what it's worth to you obviously.

One other thing. In IE 7, every time you try to hit the browser back button, you get the "Warning Page Expired" message even if you were only viewing and not posting. That used to only happen if you tried to back out after submitting a reply. And for those of you who suggest we use Mozilla or whatever, some of us have restrictions at work as to what we can and cannot download to our pc's.

I have the problem, and I have IE6. So the "7" has nothing to do with it. It may have something to do with "IE", which represents a product of Microsoft which is famous for its downgrades; e.g., the one from XP to Vista. I have Firefox (Mozilla 5.0), and I don't find the problem with that browser.

Ditto for me.
Strange, I didn't realize people still used IE! Firefox has been around for quite some time... I guess sado-masochism is a real phenomenon!

I use both. I use IE unless it gives me trouble. Then I use Firefox. If that gives trouble, then I use Opera. There are good and bad things about each. Trafficland won't work with Firefox, for instance, and Virginia Tech's webcam won't work with IE. I use whatever works.
