Hi:
As some of you know, I got to know Stacy Stewart when he was at the NHC. A few days ago, when I posted an article about him from the Herald, I took the time to drop him a line and let him know about all the nice stuff that has been (and is being) said about him as a meteorologist and in the military serving the country.
He asked me to post this:
"I appreciate the kind words and sentiments. But, no, I was not aware of anything that posted on the weather chatroom/boards. I never followed them when I was at the NHC, and I really haven't had the time to do so even if I wanted to. Please express my heartfelt 'thanks' to those in the chatrooms who have extended any kind words to me."

Tell him thanks from me!
Unfortunately for the weather community, in the article it sounds like he really likes what he is doing and could stay awhile.

Yeah, he was easily the best in the business. He was never afraid to throw in some humor and/or rock and roll references when he could sneak them in. He took the time to explain things.

Everyone:
I e-mailed Stacy about the interest by some in contacting him. He said it was OK to post that anyone cna contact him via his noaa email address:
Stacy.R.Stewart@noaa.gov
And he wrote that...
"I may not be able to reply to everyone's
e-mails immediately due to duty commitments here, but I will try my best.
