The wave that should emerge of Africa the next 24 does look impressive. Looks like some busy times ahead in the Tropics.

Choo Choo The train is here....
Plenty of moisture in the air to keep it alive once it exits the continent so that shouldn't be a problem like it was a few weeks ago.

There is still a low evident right now so we shall see. Its not unusual for systems to come off and lose their convection as they transition to the ocean waters of the east Atlantic. Let see if convection tries to reform as it begins to move west.

I wake up and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a eye on a Hurricane starting to get everyone frightfull with fear. :lol: Yeah Yeah.......Maybe I was underestimating Mr Dean. I just hope the latest GFDL model does not pan out. :(

Has anybody been looking at the GFS past Dean? It shows another system similar coming into the Caribbean. It's not too far out to be unreasonable either.

If you're talking about today's 12Z GFS, it takes the wave currently at 35 W towards the Bahamas. What you see developing and heading toward the Caribbean, is from the wave at 20W now coming off of Africa.

Looks like a big weakness to the north of the "next one" that would hopefully take it to "fishy-land".

Just my very untrained eye seeing it....
